  • 19 girls competed for the the prestigious MISS STOP PRESS 1967 contest on September 31. The crown was among the most sought after item as it was a diamond studded pure silver tiara and was sponsored by Madamme France de Camas. The winner was ANGELINA LOW, 23. 1st runner up: Philomena Jean Perera, 19, 2nd runners up: Rosemary Wan, 18.
  • MISS SELANGOR MEDICAL QUEEN 1967. Oct 6. 12 girls competed. Venue: National TB Center Community Hall. Winner: Yvonne Stinten, 23. 1st runner up: Maheran Merican, 26, 2nd runners up: Jariah Hj Samadi, 21.
  • Mary Rasiah, was the winner of MISS TOURISM SARAWAK 1967.
  • PRINCESS OF SINGAPORE 1967. Oct 14. Venue: Ocean Park Hotel. Organized by: Singapore Servant Welfare Organization. Winner: Daisy Tan, 20. 1st runner up: Heather Siddons, 18. 2nd runners up: Anna Hak Lian, 19.
  • SOPHISTICATION QUEEN OF SINGAPORE 1967. Oct 21. Venue: Singapore’s National Theater. Winner: Rosie Lee. 1st runner up: Zulina Nordin, 19. Susie Lim, 25. This contest was organized to raise fund for Singapore Islamic secondary school building fund!.
  • Josephine Lee, 23, represented Malaysia-Singapore Airlines to Miss International Air Hostess Quest on November 14-24, 1967. MSA (Malaysian side) was represented by Winifred Wu, 21, and Irene Lim, 21.
  • For the record, NANCY LIEW, A Malaysia girl I declared the first woman from Malaysia ever won an international beauty contest when she won MISS INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES in 1963!. She represented Malayan Airways. Source: Malay Mail, Oct 27, 1967. page 10.
  • SELANGOR GOVERNMENT SERVICE QUEEN 1967. Winner: Shamizan Abdul Ghani, 19. 1st runner up: Irene Tan, 18, 2nd runner up: safiah Ujang. Shamizan represented Selangor to the Government Services Queen national level 1967 which was held at Banquet Hall of Parliament on November 5, 1967.
  • MISS DEEPAVALI QUEEN 1967. Oct. 29. Winner: N. Selvakumari. 1st runner up: T. Thirusothy. 2nd runners up: K. Navaratnam.
  • MISS MALAYSIA WORLD 1967 was not held as there were pressures from Penang Muslim Religious Organization and also Penang Malay Patriotic Youth League. They event set up Pan Malaysian Anti Beauty Contest club!. However, there was intervention by Tunku Abdul Rahman, the PM at that time who explained that nothing wrong in holding beauty contest. Despite the announcement by the PM, it was too late already to revive the  contest as planned as it was to late to select Malaysian representative to Miss World 1967 in London.
